Marc’s birthday started out with a pancake breakfast. However, since I had to work that morning and Marc had to be out early, also…. by the time the pancakes were done, we were practically inhaling them out the door.
After work the boys and I ran a few errands where I completely and totally forgot to pick up a birthday card for Marc. He requested only money this year to purchase a “New to Us” fish-finder, so the man already has no gifts waiting for him. Then I go forget to even get him a card. He didn’t think it was a big deal, but I felt awful. NOTHING to open on his birthday.
But… the boys made him a cake. They each got to decorate their halves. Get this... Andrew lobbed his whole half with Red Hots before actually tasting one and realizing that he hated them. However, that evening we were able to get a sitter and go out on the lake with some friends. After tubing long enough to make us feel every bit of our 30+ years, we went out for a late dinner before packing up our sleeping children and heading home for the night.
Hope you had a great day, babe.
